What is the Relationship Between
Flavay
Flavay and Good Health and Vitality?

Patented and Licensed in France for Therapeutic Uses

For 60 years this antioxidant complex, now known as Flavay®, has produced stunning health results across Europe. The benefits of Flavay® are particularly compelling because they address so many diverse body tissues and conditions. Below is an overview of Flavay’s® proven health benefits:

What is Flavay®?

Flavay® is more than a single nutrient. It is a very specific, standardized and isolated, singular polyphenol complex defined and perfected by Dr. Jack Masquelier in France; validated by the French Ministry of Health and documented by a library of research consisting of many patents and hundreds of scientific papers, articles, doctorate theses, lectures and presentations.

Double-blind studies conducted in France showed that Flavay® can reduce postoperative inflammation.

Flavay® is not a simple bioflavonoid (this is important because many are non-bioavailable or even toxic). Flavay® is a highly specialized, nutritional complex of pairs and triples of a specific molecule called "flavan-3-ol," isolated from natural extracts, that has been extensively tested and examined clinically for biological antioxidant protection, collagen strengthening, tissue rebuilding, and other health producing outcomes. This highly defined, polyphenol complex is proven fully bioavailable, safe and effective by numerous human studies, manufactured in France and used worldwide since 1950.

U.S. Patent No. 4,698,360
“Radical Scavenger” Effect of Flavay®

Flavay® is the product—used in the actual experiments—by which Dr. Jack Masquelier established and patented the "Radical Scavenger Effect."

Flavay’s® strong antioxidant power is patented—as a scavenger of the free radicals that play a major role in the initiation, duration and breakdown of inflammation and the degradation of collagen.

"[A] method for preventing and fighting the harmful biological effects of free radicals in the organism of warm blooded animals and more especially human beings, namely cerebral involution, hypoxia following atherosclerosis, cardiac or cerebral infarction, tumour promotion, inflammation, ischaemia, alterations of the synovial liquid, collagen degradation, among others. The method consists in administering to said animals and especially to human beings an amount, efficient against said effects, of a plant extract with a proanthocyanidins content which has a radical scavenger effect"—Dr. Jack Masquelier, U.S. Patent No. 4,698,360.

Our Customers Say: “We are a middle-aged couple and we both have ADD and anxiety issues. We are both taking Flavay® and Flavay Plus® and began feeling better during the first week. Together we are slowly getting off of Zoloft. We are extremely pleased with Flavay® and Flavay Plus®.”

During any challenge to your immune system—because of disease, infections, toxic exposure, stress or aging—you need the extra antioxidant power in Flavay® to help scavenge the free radicals naturally produced by the immune system's cells during warfare. When your immune system works better, your joints hurt less and your blood flows better.

Method of Action

Considerable research has demonstrated that Flavay® has several key actions when consumed:

Free Radicals: Both Foe and Friend

Contemporary scientific studies in neurology and immunology have demonstrated that the body's own immune system has the ability to damage healthy cells. When the body's immune system mobilizes, our cells produce by-products called oxygen free radicals, like pellets of poison, that go to work to destroy invaders by interfering with their cellular machinery, literally dissolving or breaking down the genetic material of bacteria, toxins, and viruses.

When all is going well, the immune system is capable of identifying foreign invaders such as viruses and bacteria. If functioning properly, our immune components do not turn against our own body's cells. Unfortunately, free radicals can interfere with the biological components of our healthy cells just as they destroy invaders, literally dismantling the body's essential cellular proteins, fatty cell membranes and DNA.

With many neurological diseases—including Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, chronic fatigue, and multiple sclerosis—the brain's specialized antioxidant mechanisms fail.

The most important natural defenses we have against free radical damage are our body's natural "antioxidants," a broad range of chemical substances that all have one thing in common: they ward off free radical damage to cells. However, in many neurological diseases—including Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, chronic fatigue, and multiple sclerosis—the brain's specialized antioxidant mechanisms fail. The cause of the failure might be genetic, environmental, or even dietary, but the consequences are the same: unchecked free radical activity on the brain.

The excessive production of one free radical in particular, nitric oxide, can be blamed for throwing the brain-immune systems off kilter and causing some of the brain's worst free radical damage. Over the past decade, scientists have shown that the overproduction of nitric oxide through a combination of immune and nervous system activity— often sparked by an infection, exposure to a toxin, or as part of the aging process—plays a key role in the development of neurological diseases.

Antioxidants: Your Best Weapon Against Toxic Free Radicals

Free radicals can interfere with the biological components of our healthy cells and literally dismantle the body's essential cellular proteins, fatty cell membranes and DNA.

Antioxidants can neutralize free radical attacks and are especially important as we age. During any challenge to your immune system—because of disease, infections, toxic exposure, stress or aging—you need extra antioxidants to help scavenge the free radicals naturally produced by the immune system's cells during warfare.

Until recently, scientists believed that each antioxidant worked separately in the body, independently of the others. We now know that isn't true. Current research demonstrates that key antioxidants and their co-factor nutrients work synergistically with one another in the body. Antioxidants work together in the body—not alone.

Our Customers Say: “I've been suffering with carpal tunnel syndrome in both of my wrists for over three years. I also have two active preschoolers, whom I adore, so having carpal tunnel has been really, really painful. My doctor recommended surgery for my wrists but I decided to listen to my brother who suggested that I first try Flavay® and Flavay Plus®. After taking three of each every day for over two months, I no longer have any pain! I can hardly believe it! My kids are happier and so am I because I'm able to take care of them without pain! Thank you so much!”

Superior Antioxidant Support

Flavay® is superior to other antioxidants because its protective effects are multiplied in the body. While it provides its own, powerful antioxidant protection, it also supports the dynamic interplay between other antioxidants in the body. Flavay’s® ability to “recycle,” or regenerate vitamins C and E after they have quenched free radicals vastly extends their unique antioxidant powers, helping to maintain an optimal, synergistic antioxidant balance in the body.

Flavay® is rapidly absorbed and very quickly distributed throughout the body. As a free radical fighter, Flavay® comes to the aid of the body more quickly than other antioxidants, reducing the potential for free radical damage and the ravages of aging. Flavay® also possesses more reactive sites for neutralizing free radicals than other known antioxidants. Furthermore, Flavay® permits reactivity with both positively and negatively charged free radical species. What this means is that Flavay® can “quench” or “scavenge” (neutralize) a broad variety of free radicals. Highly reactive as an antioxidant in both lipid (fat) and aqueous (water) phases, Flavay® neutralizes oxygen free radicals and is a valuable protector of healthy cells in a variety of internal conditions. This is a unique property among antioxidants, as most work either in lipid or aqueous phases, but not both. As a free radical scavenger, Flavay® is like an antioxidant prize fighter that can successfully take on all challengers, big or small, in any kind of weather

All of this means that your immune system works better so that your joints hurt less and your blood flows better—with Flavay®.
